FLARE U Makes an Unexpected Debut as TV Weather Forecasters

FLARE U took on an unusual role during its latest comeback promotions, appearing as guest weather forecasters on YTN's "News NOW."

Chuei Li Yu and Kang Woojin joined the program's weather segment on Oct. 15, delivering autumn forecasts and taking part in a quiz about fall foliage across Korea.

The appearance tied into the concept of their second EP, "LOVEHOOD," released Oct. 14. The album explores the unexpected arrival of first love, comparing it to a sudden shower on an otherwise clear day.

During the broadcast, the members introduced title track "Bloom," describing it as a song about youth finally blossoming like a flower. They also demonstrated the song's signature choreography, which uses hand movements to resemble opening flower petals.

Chuei admitted he had been nervous about appearing on live television but said he enjoyed sharing both the weather and the group's new music with viewers.

The appearance followed FLARE U's comeback busking performance at Everland on Oct. 14, where the duo debuted several new songs.

FLARE U began its music show promotions on Mnet's "M Countdown" on Oct. 15.
