WayV's XIAOJUN to Prove Solo Potential? Earns Songwriting Credits on Debut EP

WayV member XIAOJUN is set to make his solo debut with his first EP, "Hey, Somebody," on Oct. 26. The singer has contributed to the songwriting on two tracks, bringing a personal touch to his first solo release.

The five-track EP includes the title track in both Chinese and English, along with three other songs.

"Sky High" combines bright guitar sounds with a midtempo R&B groove. XIAOJUN participated in writing both the lyrics and music, expressing the happiness of spending time with someone special and the desire to go further together.

Another track, "我眼中的你 (Wave)," is an emotional ballad featuring rich strings, gentle piano and acoustic guitar. Part of the song was previously revealed through the album's intro film. XIAOJUN wrote the lyrics, delivering a message of comfort and encouragement that reminds listeners they shine just as they are.

"时光情书 (To Us)" is another ballad, pairing understated acoustic guitar sounds with XIAOJUN's delicate vocals. The lyrics look back on tender memories of the past and feelings left unspoken, portraying them as precious words preserved in a letter.

XIAOJUN's first EP, "Hey, Somebody," will be released on major music streaming platforms on Oct. 26 at noon KST.
