Jisoo Goes Bolder With New Single "ADDICTED"
K-pop group BLACKPINK's Jisoo has returned with a darker, more powerful sound ahead of her first full-length solo album.
Jisoo released "ADDICTED," the second pre-release single from her upcoming album, on Oct. 30 at 8 a.m. KST across major music streaming platforms. The song follows "CLICK," which arrived in September.
"ADDICTED" explores the intoxicating feeling of falling deeper in love. A sharp, lightning-like sound effect opens the track, followed by a hard-hitting beat and Jisoo's vocals, which move across a wide range.
The accompanying music video highlights another side of Jisoo. She moves between mysterious and charismatic looks, with an underwater performance adding to the video's cinematic atmosphere.
Choreographer Leejung Lee participated in creating the dance routine. Jisoo is also set to perform "ADDICTED" on South Korean music shows.
The two singles offer contrasting sides of Jisoo's music. While "CLICK" explored an instinctive attraction through softer, more restrained vocals, "ADDICTED" takes a darker and more intense approach.
By releasing songs with distinct sounds and concepts ahead of the album, Jisoo is offering a glimpse of the musical direction she is exploring as a solo artist.
"ADDICTED" is now available on major music streaming platforms.
