Bomin (보민)

Choi Bo-min first caught wide attention not on a music stage but on screen, playing a romantic lead in the web drama A-TEEN Season 2 in 2019 — a role that gave the then-teenager a distinct public profile beyond his position as the youngest member of boy group Golden Child. That crossover between idol and actor has defined his career ever since, and in 2026 he continued to build on both fronts.

Debut & Formation

Bomin debuted with Golden Child under Woollim Entertainment in 2017, joining the group as its maknae — the youngest member. Within the group he holds roles as lead dancer, vocalist, and visual, and is recognised as the face of the group. Before Golden Child's formation, he was also part of the sub-unit 00z, in which he served as leader, lead rapper, lead dancer, and vocalist — a configuration that placed him in a notably more central creative position than his maknae standing in the main group might suggest.

On Screen

It was the web drama A-TEEN Season 2, released in 2019, that significantly expanded Bomin's individual recognition. His on-screen pairing with actress Lee Na-eun generated considerable audience response, and the chemistry between the two became a reference point that followed both performers for years afterward. The role demonstrated an aptitude for romantic drama that would shape how he was cast going forward.

In 2026, that history came full circle. Lee Na-eun made her short-form drama debut with My Little Chef, and Bomin was her co-star — a reunion of the same pairing, roughly seven years on from A-TEEN Season 2. The casting drew attention precisely because of how recognisable that earlier collaboration remained.

Activities

In March 2026, Bomin held his first solo fan meeting, titled My Sweet Day, BOMIN, on White Day. The event marked a milestone in his individual activities outside of Golden Child's group schedule, and his framing of the occasion — publicly expressing a wish to spend a meaningful day with fans — reflected the more personal register he has cultivated as a solo presence. His occupations now span singing, acting, television presenting, and television acting, a range that positions him among the more broadly active members of his peer group.
