Daeyeol (대열)

After more than four years away from solo activity, Lee Dae-yeol — known by his stage name Daeyeol — returned to the music scene in early 2026, marking a new chapter for one of K-pop's more quietly consistent group leaders. Best known as the leader, lead vocalist, and lead dancer of Golden Child, Daeyeol's comeback drew significant anticipation from a fanbase that had followed his work with the group across nearly a decade of activity.

Formation & Role in Golden Child

Daeyeol has served as leader of Golden Child since the group's formation, a role that places him at the center of one of Woollim Entertainment's flagship boy group acts. Within the group, he holds positions as both lead vocalist and lead dancer — a combination that reflects a versatile stage presence rather than a single defined specialty. His leadership of the group has been a consistent thread through Golden Child's output, even as the act navigated the pressures of a crowded and competitive industry landscape.

Solo Return

The gap of four years and five months between solo activities makes Daeyeol's 2026 return a notable moment in his individual career. While he remained active through Golden Child during that period, the return to solo work signals a broader expansion of his public profile as an independent artist. Details of the specific release were met with considerable anticipation, reflecting the loyalty of a fanbase that had followed his development from group member to solo act.

Beyond the Group

In addition to his music career, Daeyeol has pursued work as an actor, extending his presence beyond the stage. This dual trajectory — group leader, solo artist, and actor — positions him as a figure whose career has developed across multiple entertainment disciplines, even if the full scope of those activities extends beyond what current materials fully detail.
