Kyehoon (계훈)

Kyehoon (계훈), a member of the K-pop group KickFlip, has built a recognizable presence within the group partly through a persona his own fanbase has taken to calling "flirting master" — a characteristically cheeky, self-assured quality that the group's creative team has leaned into as a deliberate artistic direction. Born Lee Gye-hun on September 16, 2004, he represents the younger wave of fifth-generation idol acts carving out identity through personality as much as performance.

Debut & Formation

Kyehoon debuted as a member of KickFlip (킥플립), a group operating within the crowded landscape of fifth-generation K-pop. The available material does not detail the exact circumstances of the group's formation or debut date, but by 2026 KickFlip was positioned alongside contemporaries such as TWS and NCT WISH as part of a generational cohort defined by its youth and variety-show visibility.

Music & Discography

The clearest window into Kyehoon's musical identity came with KickFlip's mini-album featuring the title track "I Want to Be an Eyesore", released in early 2026. The song is framed as a direct confession number, built around the kind of boldly self-aware romanticism that distinguishes it from more restrained K-pop love songs. Rather than subtlety, the track leans on Kyehoon's charmingly confrontational appeal — the "eyesore" of the title functioning less as an insult than as an invitation, a bid for undivided attention. It marked a deliberate intensification of the flirting concept that had already become associated with him, signaling the group's intent to sharpen that image into a fuller artistic statement.

Activities

In April 2026, Kyehoon appeared on the variety program *Amazing Saturday* alongside TWS's Dohoon, NCT WISH's Sion, and KIKI's Kiya — a grouping of fifth-generation rookies assembled to showcase the distinct personalities emerging across the new idol generation. Coverage noted his witty variety-show instincts and the confident, slightly provocative energy he brought to the format, qualities consistent with the persona KickFlip has cultivated around him. Variety appearances of this kind serve a practical function for newer acts: they extend reach to audiences who may not yet follow a group's music, and Kyehoon's reception on *Amazing Saturday* suggested he adapts naturally to the demands of the format.
