Woonhak (운학)

As the youngest member of BOYNEXTDOOR, Kim Woon-hak — known professionally as Woonhak — stepped into the public eye when the six-member group launched its activities in May 2023. Born in November 2006, he brought a notable presence to the group's debut lineup, and his profile has continued to grow both through the group's work and his individual appearances in Korean entertainment media.

Debut & Formation

Woonhak began his activities with BOYNEXTDOOR on May 30, 2023, joining a six-member South Korean boy group under what would become one of the more closely watched rookie launches of that year. As the group's maknae — the youngest member — he occupied a role that carries particular visibility within K-pop fandoms, where the youngest member is often subject to both heightened affection and scrutiny.

Alongside his group commitments, Woonhak took on hosting duties for SBS Inkigayo, one of South Korea's long-running weekly music broadcast programs. For a relatively new artist, a co-hosting position on a program of that stature represents meaningful exposure to a broad domestic audience.

Activities

Beyond the group's schedule, Woonhak has drawn attention in his own right. His visuals and on-camera presence have been noted in Korean entertainment coverage, and he has maintained a visible individual profile alongside BOYNEXTDOOR's collective activities.

In early 2026, a story circulated that added a personal dimension to his public image: his elementary school best friend Minjae had debuted as an idol, having followed a path into the industry not unlike Woonhak's own. The detail offered a glimpse into the personal connections that can run through idol training ecosystems, and the story resonated with fans of both artists.
