Woori (우리)

Real name: Go Woo Ri

Born 1988Korean165 cm♓ Pisces

Go Woo-ri built her public profile as the main rapper and lead dancer of Rainbow, the seven-member DSP Media girl group that was active through much of the 2010s. In the years since, she has moved into acting and broadcasting while remaining connected to her former group — a trajectory that reflects a broader pattern among second-generation K-pop artists navigating life after the idol era.

Debut and group career

Rainbow debuted under DSP Media in 2009 and was active across several years of Korean pop's competitive mid-tier landscape. Within the group, Woo-ri held the roles of main rapper and lead dancer, a pairing that placed her at the center of Rainbow's choreography-driven performances. She also participated in Rainbow BLAXX, a subunit that pursued a more mature sonic direction, where she again served as rapper and lead dancer. More recently, she has been involved with DSP Friends and Rainbow18, both current affiliations that keep her within the DSP Media orbit alongside fellow members.

Life after Rainbow

Following Rainbow's period of inactivity, Woo-ri established herself in acting and variety broadcasting. By the mid-2020s she had become a regular presence on Korean entertainment programs, often appearing under the informal identifier "businesswoman" — a reference to her husband's profession that became a recurring framing device in media coverage. She has used variety and broadcast platforms to speak candidly about personal milestones, including her marriage and, most recently, her pregnancy.

A pregnancy announced on air

In April 2026, Woo-ri disclosed on the television program *Radio Star* that she had become pregnant through IVF after four years of trying. She later explained that she had been waiting until the pregnancy reached a stable stage and that the broadcast opportunity prompted her to share the news publicly rather than continue keeping it private. The announcement drew significant attention, in part because of the openness with which she discussed the IVF process — a topic rarely addressed directly in Korean entertainment contexts.

In subsequent weeks she continued to document her pregnancy through social media and broadcasts, sharing updates at 11 weeks, 18 weeks, and 19 weeks, and noting at one point that her son's head circumference measured in the top five percent. At 21 weeks she described the physical demands of the pregnancy with characteristic candor, comparing the sensation to inhabiting a hippopotamus's body. Despite that, she remained active, attending a Rainbow member gathering while visibly pregnant and continuing to fulfill home shopping broadcast commitments alongside moving preparations and babymoon planning.
