Yoseop

As the main vocalist of HIGHLIGHT, Yang Yoseop has built a reputation over roughly 17 years as one of K-pop's more technically grounded singers — a career that began in the group originally known as B2ST/BEAST and has since extended into solo work and musical theatre alongside his ongoing commitments to the band.

Debut & Formation

Yoseop debuted as part of B2ST (later rebranded HIGHLIGHT following the group's independence from their original label) and has remained a consistent presence through the group's various chapters. His role as main vocalist placed him at the centre of the group's sound, and that position has informed the direction of his solo output as well.

Activities

Seventeen years into his career, Yoseop has maintained a parallel track as a solo artist and musical actor in addition to his work with HIGHLIGHT. In early 2026 he returned with a solo comeback, and in interviews around that release he was candid about where his priorities lie — describing his goal simply as enjoying activities with his HIGHLIGHT members rather than framing solo work as a separate ambition.

In April 2026 he launched his first solo web variety programme, *Yoseobi's Modern Things*, released through the YouTube channel GOGOSING. The show placed him in the position of an outsider catching up with youth culture, exposing him to experiences ranging from cryotherapy at minus 120 degrees Celsius to freeze-dried snack trends associated with the so-called 1020 generation. The format leaned on his unguarded reactions as its central appeal, and the programme marked his first solo variety venture since his debut.
