STAYC (스테이씨)

STAYC debuted on November 12, 2020, under High Up Entertainment, entering a competitive girl-group landscape and building a dedicated fanbase — known as SWITH — across their six-member lineup.

Debut & Formation

The group launched in late 2020 with six members: Sumin, Sieun, Isa, Seeun, J, and Yoon. High Up Entertainment positioned STAYC as a full-lineup ensemble act, and the group developed its identity through a steady output of releases in the years following their debut.

Activities

Beyond recording and performance, STAYC's members have maintained a visible presence across variety and digital content. Sumin and J appeared on TVXQ member Changmin's YouTube channel *Saego_F5-Deokbapzip*, where they discussed their MBTI results — both identified as ISTJ — traded stories about their pets, and offered brief previews of new music. The appearance reflected the kind of candid, personality-forward content that has become a standard part of how Korean acts sustain engagement between releases.

The group has also demonstrated an investment in the industry beyond their own output. When High Up Entertainment's junior girl group UNCHILD made its debut, STAYC sent a coffee truck and personal letters to the new act — a gesture that UNCHILD members publicly described as a meaningful source of encouragement. The exchange pointed to STAYC's established standing within their agency as a senior act capable of setting a tone for those coming after them.
