tripleS built its identity on a structural premise rarely attempted at scale in K-pop: a 24-member collective designed to operate simultaneously as a full group and as a rotating system of sub-units, with fans holding a direct role in shaping which combinations take the stage. Formed by Modhaus and introduced through a phased pre-debut project that began in May 2022, the group made its formal debut on February 13, 2023. The representative work most associated with the group is "Fly Up," a track that distills the high-energy, genre-fluid approach that has defined tripleS's releases across its expanding discography.

Formation and debut

The path to debut was itself part of the concept. Modhaus began unveiling members incrementally from May 2022, building anticipation and a participatory fandom structure before any official release. That structure — in which the fandom, known as WAV (웨이브), has been positioned as an active participant rather than a passive audience — became central to how tripleS operates, with fan input influencing which sub-unit configurations are activated at a given time. The full 24-member group formally debuted in February 2023, making tripleS one of the largest girl groups to debut in the contemporary K-pop landscape.

Music and discography

The group's recorded output has grown steadily since debut. Assemble24, released in 2024, represented the full-group collective in album form, followed later the same year by Performante, which extended the group's discography with a distinct release. In 2025, Assemble25 continued that annual cadence, with the naming convention suggesting an ongoing series built around the group's assembled configuration. The sub-unit and full-group model means the discography encompasses more material than these full-group albums alone, with individual unit releases contributing to a broader body of work across the project's lifespan.

Musically, tripleS has leaned into a bright, high-energy aesthetic, a direction the members themselves described ahead of their 2026 comeback as "refreshing." "Fly Up" stands as the work most closely identified with the group, offering a representative entry point into what tripleS sounds like at its most direct.

Activities

June 2026 marked the group's first full-group comeback of that year, announced with notable candor at a media showcase where members framed the moment in terms of urgency and accountability — describing their mindset as "it's now or never" and expressing a specific desire to build and maintain trust with their fanbase. The release placed tripleS in direct competition with FIFTY FIFTY and MIAO, both of whom released new albums the same day, drawing industry attention to the simultaneous output of acts from smaller agencies.

Earlier in 2026, members including NaKyoung and SoHyun had already signaled ambitious intentions for the year, with the group maintaining a public presence through the early months ahead of the full-group return.

Members

tripleS comprises 24 current members: ChaeWon, Chaeyeon, DaHyun, HaYeon, HyeRin, JiWoo, JiYeon, JooBin, Kaede, Kotone, Lynn, NaKyoung, Nien, SeoAh, SeoYeon, ShiOn, SoHyun, SooMin, Sullin, Xinyu, YeonJi, Yooyeon, and YuBin. The multinational composition of the group — which includes members with Japanese and Chinese names alongside Korean members — reflects Modhaus's internationally oriented approach to casting. No formal positional designations are assigned within the group's public-facing structure.
