KEYVITUP arrived on April 8, 2026, as the first boy group launched by singer and actor Kim Jaejoong — a debut that carried considerable pre-release momentum built through brand partnerships, high-fashion concept photography, and the weight of its producer's reputation in the Korean entertainment industry.

Debut and Formation

The five-member group debuted under iNKODE with a self-titled EP, KEYVITUP, released on April 8, 2026. Kim Jaejoong, whose career as a member of TVXQ and JYJ established him as one of the most recognized figures of the second-generation K-pop era, produced the project — lending the group a profile unusual for a rookie act before a single note had been heard publicly.

Pre-debut coverage framed KEYVITUP as a "K-pop standard" rookie group, a phrase pointing to an emphasis on a well-rounded package: visual presentation alongside performance craft. Three rounds of concept photos released ahead of the EP drew comparisons to fashion editorial shoots, generating attention that extended beyond the typical trainee-announcement cycle.
