Despite being one of the newer acts on the lineup, CORTIS generated one of the loudest audience responses of the evening during their 25-minute set at KSPO DOME.

Taking the stage second during Weverse Con's Sunday performances, the five-member group quickly transformed the venue from a waiting crowd into an active one, encouraging attendees to jump, dance and put their phones away in favor of experiencing the performance in the moment.

Held on June 6 and 7 as part of the fifth annual WEVERSECON Festival, Weverse Park Day transformed the 88 Lawn Yard at Seoul Olympic park into an outdoor music space before the evening's Park Night and KSPO DOME performances. This year's NEWTOPIA theme aimed at creating a festival-like escape within the busy and bustling city, it was complete with food vendors, photo zones and an open lawn seating and standing setting for attendees to enjoy.

Opening with "TNT" from their recently released mini-album "GREENGREEN," CORTIS immediately drew one of the night's louder audience reactions. The volume inside the dome noticeably increased as the first notes began playing, with fans shouting lyrics back toward the stage before the group had even reached the song's first chorus. "TNT" also brought the infamous note-change that leader Martin does during one of the verses which has recently gone viral on social platforms since the group’s release party back in May.

The momentum continued with "REDRED," arguably the song most responsible for introducing the group to wider audiences this year. Live, the track felt even larger than its studio version as it was driven by sharp choreography and constant crowd participation. The track has topped both the Melon Hot 100 chart and has managed to stay at number one for over 37 days on South Korea’s Spotify charts. Their live performance exactly proved why the track became such a standout for audiences all over the world as throughout the performance, fans mirrored key movements from the choreography while shouting back portions of the chorus. This arguably created one of the most interactive moments of the set.

After three consecutive songs, the members (Martin, James, Juhoon, Seonghyeon and Keonho) paused briefly to introduce themselves and speak about appearing at Weverse Con for the first time. The moment offered a contrast to the high-energy opening section, allowing newer audience members to connect names and personalities to the performers they had just watched on stage.

The set then shifted toward "Acai" before transitioning into "YOUNGCREATORCREW." While both tracks showcased a different side of the group's sound, "YOUNGCREATORCREW," which had gone viral before its official release on various social media platforms, produced one of the strongest audience participation moments of the afternoon. Attendees repeated the song's chant-like chorus throughout the dome which echoed throughout the entire venue.

Seamlessly interblended into the set, "FaSHioN," which was released alongside the group’s debut mini-album arrived without breaking the momentum CORTIS had built throughout their performance. Audience members immediately recognized signature lines such as "Dongmyo, Wassup, Hongdae, Wassup" and "I make 'em famous, I call that fashion," with many chanting the lyrics back toward the stage. By this point, much of the crowd had settled into the performance's rhythm, briefly turning what initially felt like a traditional festival appearance into a more headlining experience.

Coming to the end of their set, the group launched into a remixed version of one of their first-ever tracks, "Go!." Before the music started, leader Martin gave the audience three simple requests: to put down their phones, dance and jump. The crowd responded almost immediately as the remix blasted through the dome's speakers and hundreds of lasers filled the venue, making it nearly impossible to capture on camera and instead encouraging attendees to fully immerse themselves in the performance.

While CORTIS' appearance lasted only 25 minutes, the group succeeded in maintaining audience engagement from beginning to end. Rather than relying solely on the popularity of their recent releases, the members consistently emphasized participation, movement and interaction, turning much of the set into a shared experience between performer and audience.

In a festival setting where attention is often divided, that ability to keep a crowd actively involved may have been the most impressive aspect of their performance. If their Weverse Con appearance served as a preview of what fans can expect from their upcoming "PUT YOUR PHONE DOWN" tour, attendees are likely in for a high-energy show built as much around audience participation as it is around the music itself.
