IU Reunites With Child Actor at Wedding

Singer and actor IU surprised fans with a reunion photo from a recent wedding, where she crossed paths again with child actor Kim Tae-yeon.

The image was shared on June 14 through Kim Tae-yeon's Instagram account, posted by the young actor's mother.

"My Tae-yeon's number one favorite in the world, big sister IU. We went to a wedding and my daughter got to stand right next to her. Wish granted," the post read. The mother added that IU thanked Kim Tae-yeon warmly for a small gift the young actor had prepared, and went out of her way to look after her feelings. "Kind people really are the best," she wrote. "Tae-yeon and I both felt our hearts skip a beat more than once."

She closed the post with a personal note to the singer. "Ji-eun, please always stay healthy. I hope only good things come your way, and I'll keep praying for your happiness." Ji-eun is IU's given name.

The photo shows the two standing side by side inside the wedding hall, smiling at the camera. IU is said to have performed her 2019 hit "Blueming" as a congratulatory song during the ceremony.

Kim Tae-yeon and IU previously worked together on the Netflix series "When Life Gives You Tangerines", released last year. In the show, Kim Tae-yeon played the younger version of Ae-sun, the lead character portrayed by IU.
