Karina decided to go to a Chinese restaurant in Milan with MEOVV Gawon

K-pop group MEOVV appeared on SBS Power FM's "Wendy's Young Street" on Sunday to talk about their new EP "BITE NOW" and share stories about their senior labelmates. The radio show, hosted by Red Velvet's Wendy, aired on the station's 107.7 MHz frequency.

MEOVV released the EP "BITE NOW" on November 1. The album features five tracks, including the title song "DDI RO RI."

When host Wendy asked about the album's preparation, the members described an intense process. "From the practice stage, every member had fire in their eyes," they said. "Looking at those eyes, you could feel that everyone was putting their life into it." Asked by a listener how they felt when they first heard the title track, the group said the song grew on them. "When we first recorded it, we wondered if we were getting it right. But the more we sang it, the more all of us fell into it," they said.

The group also addressed a rumor that the "DDI RO RI" hook would be cut from future performances. When Wendy asked if the live performance on the show would be the last time fans heard that part, the members played coy. "It might not be the last," they said. Wendy fired back, joking that they were playing hard to get.

Wendy then brought up the recent meeting between labelmates ELLA and Jeon Somi and asked if there were other senior artists at their agency MEOVV wanted to meet. The group said they would like a company dinner with every artist on the roster. They rarely cross paths with senior labelmates, they said, but one chance encounter stood out. "We once ran into 'oppa senior' Park Bo-gum in the company elevator," the group said. "He was perfectly styled, and we weren't, so we panicked." Asked about the unusual title "oppa senior," MEOVV explained that calling him "senior" alone felt too distant, so they landed on the hybrid term as a compromise.

Member Gawon also shared a connection with aespa's Karina, whom she met at a fashion show in Milan. "Karina recommended a great Chinese restaurant in Milan," Gawon said. "We promised to go together sometime."
