TWICE's Dahyun Wins Rising Star Award at 2026 Global OTT Awards

K-POP group TWICE member and actress Dahyun has been named the Rising Star at the 2026 Global OTT Awards. She picked up the prize for her work on the JTBC drama "Love Me," her first lead role on television.

The ceremony was held on the 20th at the Outdoor Theater of the Busan Cinema Center in Haeundae district, Busan. The Global OTT Awards recognize platforms, content, and creators across the streaming industry, with prizes in 19 categories.

Taking the stage to accept the award, Dahyun thanked the team behind her first drama. "Thank you for this meaningful award," she said. "While filming my first drama, 'Love Me,' I was able to enjoy being on set thanks to the director, the senior actors, and my fellow cast members who supported me." She added, "I want to thank the production crew who helped calm my nerves, the viewers, and the fans who keep cheering me on."

"Love Me," which wrapped its run in January, cast Dahyun as Ji Hye-on, a young woman navigating the growing pains of early adulthood. Her grounded performance drew praise from viewers. She first stepped into acting in February last year with the film "You Are the Apple of My Eye," and has since added the movie "Sprint" and "Love Me" to her résumé as she builds a career on screen.

Her work across film and television has already brought industry recognition. She picked up her first acting trophy at the 2024 Marie Claire Asia Star Awards, followed by wins at the 2025 Seoul International Film Awards and the 29th Buchon International Film Festival.

TWICE, meanwhile, is closing out "THIS IS FOR," the group's largest world tour to date. The final shows are set for July 10 through 12 at KSPO DOME in Seoul. The tour has run 81 dates across 44 cities, and tickets for the Seoul finale sold out the moment they went on sale.
