BIGBANG Daesung's Agency Calls Heo Young-ji Dating Rumors 'Just Friends'

BIGBANG's Daesung, 37, and KARA member Heo Young-ji, 31, have denied dating rumors after photos of the two together at a MAMAMOO concert spread online.

The speculation began on June 20, when images of the pair at the concert venue surfaced on social media and online communities. In the photos, the two are seen chatting casually while watching the stage and looking at a light stick. OH MY GIRL's Hyojung was also reportedly with them at the venue.

A representative from Daesung's agency, RND Company, told K-POPIT on Monday that the two are "close colleagues" and dismissed the dating rumors. With Hyojung, another mutual acquaintance, also at the concert, the speculation ended as a simple misunderstanding triggered by a group of friends attending a show together.

The rumors brought renewed attention to an older episode from Daesung's YouTube series "Jibdaeseong," in which Heo Young-ji appeared as a guest. During that episode, Daesung mentioned that fellow BIGBANG member Taeyang had told him to "give things a shot with Heo Young-ji."
