Trot Star Song Ga-in Moves Out of Yeoksam, Shares New Home Update
Trot singer Song Ga-in has moved into a new home. The singer shared the update with fans on social media, posting photos from moving day.
On Sunday, Song wrote, "Finished the move on a day with perfect weather," alongside several images. The photos showed her leaving her apartment in Yeoksam, a neighborhood in Seoul's Gangnam district, and settling into a new place.
"I was worried it would be tough, but the movers handled everything so smoothly. I was grateful all day," she wrote. "I had so much stuff that it became a big job. It didn't all get done in one day, so they came back the next day to finish organizing. They were the best."
Song has been open about her living situation in the past. On a recent variety show appearance, she pushed back on online rumors about her finances. "I live in Yeoksam in Seoul's Gangnam district, but the place isn't mine. I'm renting on a jeonse lease," she said, referring to Korea's lump-sum deposit rental system.
She also addressed broader rumors circulating on YouTube. "If you look at fake news on YouTube, I've already bought a building, I'm married to someone, and I have two kids. They also say I have 20 billion won in assets. Please don't watch fake news," she said.
The new move marks a fresh chapter for the singer, who rose to fame through the trot competition series "Miss Trot" in 2019 and has remained one of the genre's most recognized voices.
