Super Junior, NCT 127, NCT DREAM Lead New ENA Survival Series 'The Prince and the Pauper'

ENA is launching a new travel survival variety show built around a six-member idol cast led by Super Junior's Leeteuk and Shindong. The cable network announced that 'The Prince and the Pauper' will premiere July 27 at 11:15 p.m. KST.

The series takes its cast on a six-night, seven-day trip across Egypt, where the six idols compete for the title of prince in a winner-takes-all format. Joining Leeteuk and Shindong are DAWN, Kim Yo-han of WEi, and NCT members Johnny and Jisung.

The route runs through Cairo, Luxor, and Hurghada, with the cast sampling local food, visiting historic sites, and stopping at resort areas along the way. Each mission splits the group in two. The winning team unlocks special perks, while the losing team continues the trip under far rougher conditions. The show leans into that gap between luxury and hardship as its core hook.

The project is the latest from PD Lee Tae-kyung, whose credits include 'Amazing Saturday', 'HMLYCP', and 'Salon de Idol' Lee has built a reputation for drawing out chemistry between cast members, and the new show puts that skill to work with an all-male idol lineup.

The casting itself spans generations of K-pop. Leeteuk and Shindong, now in their 21st year since debut, anchor the group and play off their younger co-stars. DAWN, known among fans for his frail charm and light appetite, and Kim Yo-han, often cast for his first-love visuals, are expected to show different sides of themselves on the trip. Johnny of NCT 127 and Jisung of NCT DREAM round out the cast, bringing the global pull of NCT into the mix.
