K-POP Boy Group ARrC Disbands After Less Than Two Years
K-POP boy group ARrC has announced its disbandment.
The group's agency, Mystic Story, revealed on Tuesday that ARrC would officially end its activities effective immediately.
In a notice posted on the fan platform Weverse, the company said the decision was made "after sincere and careful discussions with the members." Going forward, the seven members, Andy, Choi Han, Doha, Hyunmin, Jibin, Kien and Rioto — will each pursue their own paths.
The members also shared the news with fans through handwritten letters. Leader Hyunmin wrote that his heart felt heavy delivering the unexpected news in writing, describing his time with ARrC as a collection of memories he will always cherish.
"It was truly joyful," Hyunmin wrote. "I can't imagine how heartbroken our fans must feel, so I want to choose my words carefully. ARrC was able to come this far because of you. I don't believe the memories we created together as ARrC will end here."
He concluded the letter with a promise to keep moving forward.
"I hope that one day I can repay the love you've given us by returning as a more mature and better version of myself," he wrote. "Thank you so much for loving ARrC and for supporting me."
ARrC debuted under Mystic Story, a label known for working with artists across a variety of genres rather than focusing exclusively on idol acts. The disbandment brings a brief chapter to a close for one of the agency's newest boy groups, while the members prepare to pursue individual activities beyond the group's final day.
