ENHYPEN's First Album Without EVAN, K-POPIT BOARD Signals Strong Interest
K-POP boy group ENHYPEN is heading back into the spotlight, and the early numbers suggest the comeback is already landing both at home and abroad. The group will release its eighth EP, "THE SIN : BLISS," on August 21, roughly seven months after its last release.
The group's agency, BELIFT LAB, announced the new album on the 19th. Even with more than a month to go before release, online buzz and media coverage have started climbing fast.
According to K-POPIT BOARD, a K-pop analytics index released Wednesday, ENHYPEN ranked second on the global combined power index with a score of 59. The group also placed second on the domestic combined power index at 66. The power index pulls together data from music charts worldwide, social media activity, and news coverage. ENHYPEN's official comeback announcement has clearly pushed those numbers higher.
The domestic figures point to strong conversion potential. ENHYPEN's Viral Conversion Rate, which tracks how social media buzz translates into actual streaming, hit 93.2. That suggests the chatter around the group is likely to turn into real listening once the EP drops.
Interest is also reaching beyond the core fandom. The group's D-layer score, a measure of non-fandom attention, came in at 112 percent. Its Media Attention Score, based on Korean entertainment news coverage, registered 97.5. Together the numbers show that attention on ENHYPEN is spilling out of fan communities and into the wider public.
Part of that attention is tied to a roster change. "THE SIN : BLISS" will be ENHYPEN's first release since former member EVAN(Heeseung)'s departure, raising the stakes for both fans and casual listeners watching how the group regroups.
ENHYPEN has built a global following on a distinct sound and a vampire-themed worldview that runs through its releases. Repeated world tours have deepened those ties with fans overseas, which helps explain the group's standing on the global index.
The new EP is the second installment in the group's "THE SIN" series, built around the theme of sin. The first album in the series laid the groundwork for an extended storyline, and the upcoming release is expected to push that universe further. How ENHYPEN expands the series, and how the lineup shift reshapes the group's sound, will be the questions to watch when "THE SIN : BLISS" arrives on August 21.
