Jun Hyun-moo and Kwak Tube Return for Season 4 of Hit Food Series
Korean variety mainstays Jun Hyun-moo and Kwak Tube are heading back on the road for another season of eating their way across the country. MBN and Channel S confirmed that the fourth season of their food-travel variety show, Moo No Plan 4 (Jun Hyun-moo Gyehoek 4), premieres July 3 at 9:10 p.m. KST.
Ahead of the premiere, the show released four teaser videos designed to play up the chemistry between the two hosts and the format's signature on-the-ground food hunting. The clips lean into longer trips, tougher restaurant scouting, and the everyday humor that has carried the series through three previous seasons.
The first teaser frames Jun like an athlete walking into a World Cup opening ceremony. Over heavy, dramatic music, the camera pushes in tight on his face mid-bite. "I, Jun Hyun-moo, am still hungry. There is too much delicious food in the world," he says, deadpan. The joke lands because he plays it completely straight.
The second teaser shifts to the duo's road-trip dynamic. It opens on a question most viewers have asked themselves at some point: if you could go anywhere in the country, where is the food actually good? Jun and Kwak appear in matching black suits, styled like a nod to the film "Men in Black." "We're already at season four, so of course it has to be more delicious," Jun says. "We'll dig harder, more thoroughly, more completely." The teaser positions the new season as an upgrade on the show's running food map.
The hosts also make clear they are not there to be polite. Alongside shots meant to trigger viewers' appetites, they deliver blunt verdicts. "This place isn't good," Jun says in one cut. In another, he sounds genuinely impressed: "Season four really is different." The mix of honest reactions and serious scouting is the show's pitch this time around. The two will travel through Korean cities, traditional markets, coastal towns, and mountain regions, with overseas stops also in the plan.
The final teaser plays as a mock soccer broadcast. "Somewhere in Korea today, another match for the perfect meal begins," a play-by-play voice announces, introducing Jun and Kwak as the starting forwards. The "commentator" then walks through what the pair went through in earlier seasons. Quick cuts show them eating on the curb, climbing onto a fishing boat, and getting turned away by restaurants after walking through entire neighborhoods.
The same teaser also gives a first look at filming for the new season. Jun and Kwak interview people on the street to gather restaurant tips. "Good passes early in the match," the commentator says, as a local hands over a recommendation. The two race to the restaurant only to find it sold out for the day. They shake it off and run to the next spot. They land a table, get their food, and lift the stone pot over their heads in celebration.
Across its first three seasons, "NMPLAN" has covered 99 street locations and 318 hidden restaurants, building one of the more detailed informal food maps in Korean variety TV. Season four continues in the same mode, mixing legwork, sincerity, and humor as the hosts hunt for places worth the trip.
Moo No Plan 4 premieres July 3 at 9:10 p.m. KST on MBN and Channel S.
