K-pop girl group I-DLE is returning to one of South Korea's most popular variety stages. The group will appear as a full lineup on JTBC's "Knowing Bros" in July, timed to its ninth EP comeback.

The episode marks I-DLE's fourth full-group visit to the show, where the members will join the cast for an extended classroom-style session. The group is expected to lean into the relaxed chemistry built over years of appearances, with the recording set to feature candid behind-the-scenes talk from each member.

The connection between I-DLE and "Knowing Bros" runs deep. A highlight clip from the group's 2022 episode has drawn more than 4.62 million views online, one of the show's stronger numbers in recent years. Expectations are high for what the new taping will deliver in terms of comedy beats and on-screen rapport.

"Knowing Bros" is having a moment of its own. The program ranked first in the non-drama TV and OTT buzz rankings for the third week of June, according to data firm Good Data Corporation. The show also recorded its highest buzz score since April 2021.

The return comes after a brief stretch of uncertainty around the show's production. A local outlet recently reported that JTBC had paused recording on several variety programs, with "Knowing Bros," "Couples' Therapy Camp" and "Talk Correspondent 25hr" named among them. The same report said only "Please Take Care of My Refrigerator" and the new dating series "Love War" would continue as planned.

JTBC pushed back on the report on the 23rd. The broadcaster said in a statement that "'Knowing Bros,' 'Couples' Therapy Camp' and 'Talk Correspondent 25hr' will continue recording on their planned schedules." The network added that "recording and broadcasting will proceed without any changes or disruptions," denying the production halt.

I-DLE's ninth EP, "We are," anchors the comeback cycle around the appearance. The group's return to "Knowing Bros" lands at a moment when both the act and the show are riding fresh momentum, and the July taping is set to put that overlap on full display.
