Ryu Soo-young to Recall First Meeting With Wife Park Ha-sun on 'Radio Star'

Actor Ryu Soo-young will look back on his first meeting with his wife, actor Park Ha-sun, on an upcoming episode of MBC's "Radio Star."

The July 1 broadcast will feature a "National Sons" special with Ryu Soo-young, Choi Jin-hyuk, Yoon Shi-yoon, and Sandeul.

On the show, Ryu Soo-young will share that the musical "Guys and Dolls" brought him and Park Ha-sun together 12 years ago. He says Park Ha-sun watched the production and began to see him in a new light after seeing him on stage.

Ryu Soo-young will also reveal that a chance encounter in Hongcheon helped the two grow closer. Park Ha-sun joined a gathering where his family was already together, and the casual introductions reportedly felt almost like a formal meeting between in-laws. Looking back, Ryu Soo-young says, "It didn't feel like an ordinary connection."

He will also talk about a motorcycle date from that same trip. Ryu Soo-young recalls giving Park Ha-sun a ride on his motorcycle in Hongcheon and admits he wanted to show her a slightly different side of himself that day. Riding together through the countryside, he says, made his feelings for her grow.

The episode will also touch on Ryu Soo-young's work hosting Korean food shows abroad. He explains that he has been visiting several countries through K-Expo events, introducing Korean cuisine to local audiences. Beyond the dishes themselves, he highlights the culture around Korean side dishes, kimchi, and traditional fermented sauces.
