WAYF BOYS CEO and producer Czaer has addressed fans' concerns following the delay of the group's first project, responding to questions about the postponement and ongoing plagiarism allegations.

On June 30, a fan shared on X that they had received a personal email response from WAYF BOYS CEO Son Seong-ho, also known as producer and DJ Czaer. The email came in response to growing concerns over the group's lack of updates after its first project, which had previously been scheduled for release on June 26, failed to materialize without any official announcement.

Following the missed release date, fans questioned the company's silence across social media. One user wrote, "why is the company's official stance like this ㅠㅠ even the promotions are all done by fans, what are they even doing lolol it's New K-pop, still pre-debut, I get stuff like that, but at least shouldn't the company put out an official statement?"

Another user said the lack of communication reminded them of a previous pre-debut group whose social media activity stopped shortly before its debut plans were ultimately cancelled.

In the email, Czaer sought to reassure fans about the group's future, writing, "WAYF BOYS has not even released its first single yet. We have many plans ahead, including music, albums, content, world-building, and a long-term vision we have not yet shown." This response surprised many fans, as updates regarding a group's activities are typically shared through official social media channels or fan communities rather than private emails.

Czaer also addressed the plagiarism allegations that have circulated online, with some users claiming WAYF BOYS had copied or been influenced by other K-pop groups by saying, "We believe that responding through an official press release to baseless plagiarism claims, before we have even properly introduced our music identity, may only bring unnecessary controversy.”

"The influence behind WAYF BOYS does not come from any specific current K-pop group but rather from a much broader culture of music, crew culture, street culture, fashion visuals and the free expression of the internet generation," he added.

Addressing another common concern, Czaer said communication with fans remains one of the company's top priorities. However, he explained that because WAYF BOYS is still in its pre-debut stage, official fan communication platforms will take more time to launch.

He concluded the email by acknowledging that he would not be able to personally respond to every fan message in the future, explaining that he replied this time because he "sincerely understands the concern behind your message."

Although the email offered further insight into the group's plans, it did not provide a revised debut date. Instead, Czaer ended with a request for patience, writing, "We kindly ask you to give us a little more time and space so that WAYF BOYS can show what is truly ours."
