Jung Eun-chae Joins SBS Drama 'Flex X Cop' Season 2, Replacing Park Ji-hyun

SBS has unveiled the first teaser poster for its new Friday-Saturday drama "Flex X Cop" Season 2, signaling the show's official return. With Park Ji-hyun, who partnered with Ahn Bo-hyun in Season 1, stepping away from the project, attention now turns to how new co-lead Jung Eun-chae will click with the returning star.

"Flex X Cop" Season 2 premieres on August 7, taking over the slot after "Manager Kim." The series follows Jin Yi-soo, a third-generation chaebol heir turned detective who uses his money and connections as cheat codes, and Ju Hye-ra, a veteran detective. Together they take on increasingly sophisticated crimes in what the network describes as a scaled-up "FLEX" partnership procedural.

Season 1 leaned on what it called a "FLEX cathartic universe" and pulled a peak rating of 11 percent, according to Nielsen Korea's metropolitan figures. That performance built a solid fandom and placed the show alongside SBS staples like "Taxi Driver," "The Fiery Priest," "Judge from Hell" (Jiokeseo On Pansa), and "Good Partner" in the network's lineup of cathartic hits. SBS greenlit Season 2 shortly after Season 1 wrapped. Director Kim Jae-hong and writer Kim Ba-da are back alongside Ahn Bo-hyun, with Jung Eun-chae stepping in as Ju Hye-ra.

The teaser poster, released on July 1, shows Jin Yi-soo, the self-styled "superstar of the violent crimes unit," deep in work aboard a private jet. Dressed in full police uniform and seated in a recliner, he holds a case file in one hand and a crystal whiskey glass in the other. A "Jin Yi-soo signature logo" is stitched into the seat, and a set of custom-made gold handcuffs sits on the table beside him. Every detail leans into the character's chaebol-detective identity.

His hair, which became a talking point in Season 1 for its so-called "tanghulu" style, has been toned down into a cleaner look. His confident gaze fixed on the case file hints at a Jin Yi-soo who has grown into the job.

Fans are watching to see how Jin Yi-soo, armed with both wealth and detective skills, pulls off his FLEX-style investigations this time around, and how the show balances his sharper police instincts with the chaebol flair that defined him from the start.
