Actress Kang Mi-na, a former member of the K-pop group I.O.I, is charting a new chapter for her character in tvN's Monday-Tuesday drama "Tomorrow, Back to Work!" The actress, who drew attention earlier this year for losing 13 kg on a sandwich-based diet, brings a sharper on-screen presence and a steady performance that pulls viewers deeper into the show.

Episodes 3 and 4 aired on the 29th and 30th, following Yoon No-a, a fifth-year office worker caught between love and career as she goes through her own growing pains.

In episode 3, No-a falls into deep sorrow after breaking up with her longtime boyfriend, Kim Gu-won (played by Yoon Jung-hoon). Crying alone by the sea, she is approached by Lee Jae-in (played by Won Gyu-bin), who gently places a hat on her head and offers a line of comfort in French: "You should hide your tears." As Jae-in walks toward the water, No-a watches him from behind, quietly intrigued by the unexpected encounter.

Episode 4 picks the thread back up at a French-language academy, where No-a runs into

Jae-in again. Later, after he contacts her, she heads to a club to return the hat and learns that Jae-in had witnessed the entire breakup scene. She turns down his offer of revenge at first. But when she finds out that Gu-won has been twisting the story of their breakup to others, she comes back and tells Jae-in, "Let's do it. Revenge. Where do we start?" The line sets up the next stretch of the story.

Kang Mi-na plays No-a's loss and confusion with a grounded touch, then shifts into a lighter, more charming register in her scenes with Jae-in. She handles the emotional gear changes with care, making the character's transformation feel earned. The unpredictable dynamic between No-a and Jae-in has also become one of the show's real draws.

"Tomorrow, Back to Work!" airs every Monday and Tuesday at 8:50 p.m. KST. Global viewers can stream the series on Amazon Prime Video.
