K-pop girl group Hearts2Hearts saw its global buzz spike overnight after a run of TikTok challenge videos took off. The surge pushed the group to the top of a major K-pop analytics chart in a single day.

According to K-POPIT BOARD, a K-pop analytics index, Hearts2Hearts is drawing sharp interest from global audiences as of July 2. The group ranked first on the platform's Global Power Index (PWR_GL) with 57 points. The index combines chart performance around the world, social media activity, and news coverage into a single score. The "D-layer," a measure of general public interest outside of core fandom, jumped 73.7 percent in one day.

The spike traces back to a set of short-form videos the members posted on TikTok on July 1. The group's TikTok chart movement rose 69.9 percent overnight, and hashtag mentions climbed 58.1 percent. The members shared seven TikTok clips that day. Some featured the group performing its "STYLE" challenge, released in June last year, on a beach. Others followed trending challenges circulating on TikTok. One clip pulled in more than 7.52 million views, and another crossed 1 million.

The group released its second mini album, "Lemon Tang," on June 22. Based on Hanteo Chart figures published on June 29, the record moved 592,312 copies in its first week, clearing the half-million mark.

On July 1, the Supreme Prosecutors' Office named Hearts2Hearts as ambassadors for a campaign aimed at preventing drug use among teenagers. The members received their appointment certificates from acting Prosecutor General Koo Ja-hyun. Member Jiwoo said the group wants to reach young people as peers. "Since we're the same age as many teens, we want to connect with them honestly and closely," she said. "We'll do our best to help teenagers understand the dangers of drug crimes and make healthy choices to protect themselves."

The past 24 hours show how quickly a stack of short-form videos can reshape a group's global standing. For Hearts2Hearts, a rising rookie act with a half-million-selling album already on its shelf, the TikTok bump lands at a moment when momentum matters most.
