Song Kang, Lee Jun-young to Star in tvN Piano Drama 'Four Hands'
Song Kang and Lee Jun-young are teaming up for a new tvN weekend drama built around music, youth, and the bond between two piano prodigies.
The series, Four Hands, premieres August 29 at 9:10 p.m. KST. Set at an arts high school where only the country's most gifted young musicians are admitted, the show follows a group of teenagers navigating friendship, love, competition, and growth. Song Kang plays pianist Kang Bi-o, and Lee Jun-young plays fellow pianist Choi Jeong-yo.
A teaser released on the 1st offers the first look at the two characters' school life, shot with a soft, film-like feel. Kang Bi-o turns the pages of sheet music at the piano and glances up with a faint smile as Choi Jeong-yo points a camcorder at him. Choi Jeong-yo then steps in front of the lens with him, recording the moment.
Small gestures carry the tone. In one scene, Choi Jeong-yo grabs Kang Bi-o's hand and waves it for him, saying "hi" to the camera on his behalf. The two sit side by side at a single piano to play together, then walk out of the darkened school as the lights go down. The teaser frames them as two young people who have quietly stayed beside each other over time.
The main poster leans into the same idea. It shows Kang Bi-o's and Choi Jeong-yo's hands resting next to each other on the piano keys, paired with the tagline, "In front of the keys, our breathing was almost too perfect." The image sets up a friendship shaped through music rather than words.
Between the teaser and the poster, "Four Hands" is positioning itself as a coming-of-age story told through the piano, tracking how two teenagers grow close, understand each other without speaking, and eventually build a shared musical voice.
"Four Hands" premieres Saturday, August 29 at 9:10 p.m. KST on tvN.
