K-pop group NouerA is set to return with new music roughly four months after its last release. The group announced through its official social media channels on the 6th that its fourth mini-album, ".exe," will drop on the 27th, sharing a moving teaser poster to mark the news.

The poster is built to look like a computer boot screen. A string of error messages, including "The executable file is not ready" and "Please try again in a moment," rolls across the frame before a pop-up finally reveals the release date. It is a design choice meant to tease the concept without giving too much away.

Ahead of the poster, NouerA shared a retro-styled logo motion that mixed analog and digital textures, warming fans up for the comeback. With the added layer of the fake error screen, attention is now on what kind of concept and story ".exe" will bring.

The new mini-album follows the group's third mini-album, "POP IT LIKE," which came out in March. That release drew attention when it was reported that EXO's Lay joined the production, and NouerA went on to set a new personal best for first-week sales, marking a career high.

The response overseas followed. The title track, which shares its name with the album, hit No. 1 on the challenge chart on Chinese short-form platform Douyin, No. 2 on the entertainment chart, and No. 26 on the main chart. The music video also crossed 10 million views for the first time in the group's career.

NouerA is currently meeting global fans through its first world tour, "CATCH THE WAVE." After wrapping the European leg, the group is continuing on to Asia and North America, widening its footprint on the road.

The moving teaser poster is only the start. NouerA plans to roll out more content tied to ".exe" in the days ahead.
