Actor Nam Goong-min Shares Love Story With Wife on 'Problem Child in House'

Actor Nam Goong-min, who recently announced he is expecting his first child, is set to open up about life with his wife on Korean television. The soon-to-be father will appear on KBS 2TV's variety talk show "Problem Child in House" on July 10 at 10:20 p.m. KST.

On the show, Nam Goong-min shares the story of how he met his wife, actress Jin A-reum. The couple, who are in their fourth year of marriage, dated for eight years before tying the knot. Their relationship began on the set of a film Nam Goong-min directed himself.

He recalls being drawn to Jin A-reum's kind and sincere nature during filming. After the shoot wrapped, he spent two months actively expressing his feelings to her. Jin A-reum turned down his first confession, though the reason is revealed only during the broadcast.

Nam Goong-min also shares the story behind his widely discussed proposal video. "I watched a lot of foreign films growing up, so I always thought a proposal had to involve getting down on one knee and offering a ring," he said. He added that he rewatches the proposal video whenever things feel awkward with his wife.

The actor showed his devotion to his wife on the show, saying he often buys her clothes and bags. He also admitted he used to enjoy shopping for himself. "Up until last year, I spent a lot on myself, but this year I've been holding back," he said, leaving viewers curious about the reason.
