Christopher Nolan and Matt Damon Meet Yoo Jae-seok through 'You Quiz on the Block'

Christopher Nolan and Matt Damon are heading to Korean television. The pair will appear on tvN's variety show You Quiz on the Block, the program confirmed on July 13.

The two are visiting South Korea on August 3, just ahead of the local release of Nolan's new film The Odyssey on August 5. During the trip, they will tape an episode of "You Quiz on the Block" with host Yoo Jae-suk.

"With the domestic release of 'The Odyssey' on August 5 approaching, director Christopher Nolan and actor Matt Damon will visit Korea on August 3, and their appearance has been confirmed," the show's team said. "They will share a wide range of stories about the film and open, candid talk that can't be heard anywhere else. Please look forward to it."

It marks Nolan's first-ever visit to South Korea. Along with the announcement, the director released a handwritten letter to fans. "I want to thank Korean fans for the love and support you have shown my films," he wrote.

Damon is returning to South Korea for the first time in 10 years to meet local fans.

On the show, the two will share behind-the-scenes stories from "The Odyssey" and talk about their approach to directing and acting. The program has also teased material rarely heard elsewhere. How Nolan and Damon connect with Yoo, a first-time meeting for all three, is another point of interest.

"You Quiz on the Block" airs Wednesdays at 8:45 p.m. KST.
