Lexie Leaves SAINT SATINE, Marking Second HYBE Project Exit
HYBE X Geffen's upcoming global girl group SAINT SATINE will officialy move forward as a three-member act after trainee and member Lexie Levin has announced her departure from the project thus marking the second time the Swedish-Chilean member has left a HYBE project before making an official debut.
On July 14, HYBE X Geffen announced the news through SAINT SATINE's Weverse community stating that the company and Lexie had "mutually agreed to part ways" following "extensive and thoughtful discussions" regarding the group's future activities.
"While Lexie will no longer continue as a member of SAINT SATINE or as part of HxG, we sincerely wish her all the best in her future endeavors," the company stated, adding that it would continue supporting SAINT SATINE as the group prepares for its debut.
Shortly after the announcement, Lexie addressed fans through her Instagram Stories, describing the decision as mutual while reflecting positively on her time with the company.
"When I joined the SAINT SATINE Project, I truly believed it was the right place for me," she wrote. "HYBE x Geffen will always have a special place in my heart. I am incredibly grateful for the opportunities they gave me and the lessons I learned from them."
She added that although the decision was difficult, she had "found peace in the fact that some things in life aren't predestined," explaining that she and the company ultimately had "different ways of operating."
Despite her departure, Lexie encouraged fans to continue supporting SAINT SATINE, expressing her affection for fellow members Emily, Samara and Sakura.
"They're my sisters forever. We'll always support each other and want the best for each one of us," she wrote.
The singer also hinted that her career in music is far from over, telling fans that "my debut and my future might be different from what you expected, but stay tuned! I'm not done yet."
The announcement carries particular significance for followers of HYBE's global artist development projects, as this marks the second time Lexie has exited a pre-debut lineup under the company's various projects. She was previously one of the contestants on The Dream Academy, the survival program that ultimately formed global girl group KATSEYE. Lexie later withdrew from the competition before its conclusion, citing personal reasons at the time.
Following The Dream Academy, HYBE x Geffen introduced the SAINT SATINE project as another step in its global artist strategy, with Lexie joining Emily, Samara and Sakura as part of the pre-debut lineup. With her departure now confirmed, the group is expected to continue preparations as a trio.
Neither HYBE x Geffen nor Lexie provided further details regarding the reasons behind the decision beyond describing it as a mutual agreement. For now, the company has reaffirmed its commitment to SAINT SATINE's debut plans, while Lexie has indicated that she intends to continue pursuing her own path toward an official debut elsewhere.
