Super Junior member Choi Siwon is speaking more openly about his personal views on social media. The singer posted a reflective message on his X account on the 13th, inviting fans to think about the country's future alongside him.

"Once in a while before, and more often lately, I think as a citizen about what kind of country the next generation should live in," Choi wrote. "Do you feel the same way?"

He went on to thank fans for their support. "Without the empathy and encouragement you send me, my thoughts might have stayed as things I only said to myself," he wrote. "Every warm word of support and encouragement gives me real comfort and strength. I'm truly grateful."

Choi added that he wants to keep the conversation going. "I want to keep thinking about our country's future together with you and share the thoughts I've been working through. I'll also listen more carefully to different opinions and keep learning," he wrote. "Would it be okay if we talked about these things together?" He then shared a screenshot of a new Threads account he had just opened.

The post comes as Choi has been dealing with a wave of insulting posts and malicious comments targeting his political views, religion, and appearance. In May, he filed a civil lawsuit at the Seoul Central District Court against 10 people who posted the material, seeking damages for insult and defamation.

He is also reported to have secured the identities of 10 users who posted malicious content on overseas platforms including X and YouTube, working through a U.S. court. On the 7th, he made his stance clear with another post: "Silence ends here. I will no longer stand by and let malice go unchecked."
