K-POP rookie group CORTIS' opening weekend of its first world tour sparked widespread discussion online, as fans compared noticeable differences between the tour's two Seoul performances.

CORTIS held the Seoul leg of its first world tour, "PUT YOUR PHONE DOWN," on July 18 and 19 at Inspire Arena in Incheon. Less than a year after its debut, the group launched its first global tour after selling out both shows during membership presales, underscoring its rapidly growing popularity.

Following the opening night's concert, reviews quickly spread across online communities and social media, with much of the discussion centering on the show's structure and overall runtime.

Due to the fact that CORTIS has released only two albums since debut, some fans had questioned how the setlist would be structured. The first concert ran for approximately one hour and 40 minutes in which rather than extending the show with unreleased songs or cover performances, several tracks were repeated throughout the concert. "YOUNGCREATORCREW" was performed around five times, while "RED RED" appeared four times over the course of the show.

Fans also pointed to the absence of production elements commonly seen at K-POP concerts, including VCR interludes and costume changes. Combined with the relatively short runtime and limited member talk segments, the concert format became one of the main topics of discussion following the first night's performance.

When CORTIS returned to the stage for the second and final Seoul show on July 19, several aspects of the concert had changed.

According to attendees, the encore segment was restructured to include fan song requests, with the group performing seven different songs instead of repeating the same selections as on the previous day. The members also spent noticeably more time interacting with the audience through extended ment segments. Here it was clear that the members had seen the previous day's backlash, even though they did not directly address it, many attendees nodded at the fact that leader Martin's ending speech acknowledged it indirectly.

"I exist because of the stage, I chose this job because I love the stage. We're all like that, all the team members. We talk about it often, but we really do this job because we love the stage." Martin said as the members nodded alongside him

The contrast between the two nights also served as a reminder of the role fan feedback can play in live performances. Concertgoers invest significant time and money to attend these events, and many viewed the discussions that followed the opening night as constructive rather than purely negative. While some reactions online crossed into personal attacks with some including posts mocking the show or sharing photos of attendees making obscene gestures during the first night, much of the conversation centered on specific aspects of the concert that fans hoped to see refined as the tour continues.

Within just 24 hours, the conversation surrounding the tour shifted from discussions about the concert's pacing and repeated performances to comparisons between the two nights, with fans highlighting the revised encore format, and increased member interactions. While CORTIS' rapid rise has naturally brought high expectations, the group's first world tour also marks one of the biggest milestones of its career so far, with each stop over the coming months likely to continue shaping and refining the concert experience.
