Super Junior's Leeteuk Reveals He Took U-Know Yunho's Coins During Their Trainee Days

Super Junior's Leeteuk revealed that he once stole coins from TVXQ!'s U-Know Yunho during their trainee days because he was too hungry to resist. The story came out on the YouTube channel Donghae Water and Baekdu Eunhyuk," which posted a new video on July 20 titled "Super Junior, Who Will Never Understand Each Other."

In the video, Leeteuk and Kim Heechul traded old stories from their years as trainees. Leeteuk recalled a time when Super Junior and TVXQ! lived in dorms next to each other. He said he took coins that U-Know Yunho had been saving in a water bottle.

"I was hungry, but I had no money," Leeteuk said. "U-Know Yunho used to collect 500-won coins in a water bottle. I took some out and bought snacks."

According to Leeteuk, U-Know Yunho had a daily habit of counting the coins in the bottle. After a while, U-Know Yunho noticed something was off and told Leeteuk the amount kept shrinking. Leeteuk then admitted he had been taking the coins to buy food.

The reaction was not what anyone expected. "U-Know Yunho told me, 'Just take it whenever you need it,'" Leeteuk said. The moment left those around them stunned.

The exchange offered a small window into the early days of two of K-pop's most enduring acts, back when both groups were still trainees under the same roof and long before either had become a household name.
