ADOR: Minji's Return to NewJeans Has Yet to Be Finalized
K-POP girl group NewJeans has posted new four-member content without former member Danielle, but the group's agency ADOR says nothing has been finalized yet.
On July 22, ADOR responded to KPOPIT's question about whether Minji has officially returned as a member of NewJeans. "Specific activity plans and formats for NewJeans will be announced after discussions with the members are fully complete," the agency said. It added, "This content was created to celebrate NewJeans' fourth debut anniversary and enjoy the moment together with fans."
That same day, NewJeans' official social media accounts posted videos and photos featuring the group as a four-member act. The material drew attention because it included Minji, whose return has not yet been confirmed.
The situation traces back to late 2024. NewJeans members announced they were terminating their exclusive contracts in November 2024, after Min Hee-jin, now CEO of OK RECORDS and former CEO of ADOR, was dismissed as an inside director of ADOR. The members lost both an injunction case and the main lawsuit that followed. Starting with Haerin and Hyein in November of last year, and then Hanni in December, they returned to ADOR one by one. ADOR took a different path with Danielle, terminating her exclusive contract and moving forward with a damages lawsuit.
