Actor Choo Young-woo held his first solo fan meeting in Tokyo, using the stage to preview a slate of upcoming projects for his Japanese fans. The event ran on the 20th at LINE CUBE SHIBUYA, with two shows that filled the venue.

Titled "2026 CHOO YOUNG WOO FANMEETING [CHOO-prise!] in JAPAN," the Tokyo dates followed earlier stops in Osaka last November and Saitama last December. It marked the first time the tour touched down in the Japanese capital. Choo opened the show by greeting the crowd in Japanese as fans cheered.

He warmed up the room with a Japanese rendition of "Sparkle," the theme song from the animated film "Your Name." From there, he shifted into an update on his career, sharing details about the ENA drama "Yeonaebaksa," set to premiere this year, and Netflix's "Long Vacation," which is currently in production. He also dropped a surprise spoiler about one of the projects, sending fans into a buzz.

The rest of the fan meeting was built around showing different sides of the actor. He walked through unreleased personal photos and shared behind-the-scenes stories from his shoots. Across the two shows, he tried cooking different Japanese dishes on stage, played rhythm games, and took on drawing missions with fans in the audience.

Later in the show, Choo turned to music. He performed the fan song "Sigani Meomchwosseumyeon" along with covers of Aimyon's "Marigold," Vaundy's "odoriko," Back Number's "Heroine," and RADWIMPS' "Seikai."

"Thanks to Hoochu, my fandom, I had a happy day," Choo told the crowd after the final show. "The cheers from fans gave me great energy in return. Thank you for always being by my side and supporting me. I'll keep working hard to show good acting as the actor Choo Young-woo."

Choo has not released a new project since the tvN drama "The Tale of Lady Ok" wrapped last July. Ahead lies "Yeonaebaksa" on ENA this year, and he is also set to appear in Netflix's "Long Vacation" and "The Trauma Code Season 2."

The Tokyo shows underline how Choo's fanbase has grown across Asia between projects, giving the actor a live footprint in Japan even during a stretch without a currently airing drama.
