Tiffany Young of Girls' Generation and BamBam of GOT7 are stepping in as hosts of a new global commerce competition on Korean cable. The two will lead ENA's upcoming survival show "X The League," which premieres August 2 at 7:50 p.m. KST.

The series brings together eight teams from nine countries, including South Korea, Japan, China, and Thailand. In total, 40 top sellers from around the world will compete over 100 days, testing their skills in live commerce, one of the fastest-growing retail formats in Asia.

Tiffany Young said the concept drew her in. "The way it weaves together the stories of people and brands with real competition made a strong impression on me," she said. BamBam pointed to what he took away from set. "I got to see and learn a lot while filming," he said.

Each round of "X The League" runs on a different mission, following the sellers as they build strategies, plan content, and run live sales in real time. Judges will evaluate contestants on the full package, from creative planning to execution. As the show progresses, both the missions and the sales targets scale up. Producers have also teased limited-product launches and simultaneous global sales events tied to later rounds.

For Tiffany Young, the appeal is in the process, not just the results. "'X The League' shows the passion and strategy of the people building brands, and all the stories that come out of that journey," she said. "It's more fun to watch when you follow the process, not just the outcome." BamBam added another hook for viewers: "Comparing how different countries approach culture and selling is part of the fun."

The hosting job also marks another step in Tiffany Young's steady return to Korean television. She has been moving between broadcast and musical theater since her marriage, keeping a full schedule rather than stepping back, and "X The League" adds a mainstream variety credit to a run that has increasingly leaned into presenter roles.

For ENA, the show fits a broader push across Korean cable to turn live commerce, already a multibillion-dollar business in Asia, into prime-time entertainment. Pairing a Girls' Generation member with a GOT7 idol as hosts signals how central K-pop star power has become to selling a format built for a global audience.
