After 15 Years as an Idol, NU'EST's Aron Now Has a 9-to-6 Office Job
Former NU'EST member AARON says his office job is not a bit for the cameras. It is a real 9-to-6.
On July 27, AARON wrote on a fan communication platform, "It's not a setup. I really am going to work 9 to 6." He added, "I commuted today, and I'll commute again tomorrow." The phrase refers to a standard South Korean office schedule, clocking in at 9 a.m. and out at 6 p.m.
AARON said he took a job in marketing. "I thought it would be better to learn something new than to just keep resting," he explained. "Marketing will help my career, and I think it will help us later on."
That last word set fans off. When one fan asked who exactly "us" referred to, AARON answered, "The oppas you love." It was an indirect nod to NU'EST, and it raised hopes for an eventual reunion.
He also opened up about the daily grind. "If a shoot comes up while I'm working at the company, I go do the shoot," he said. "Sitting at a desk all day is definitely harder."
AARON debuted with NU'EST in 2012. He ended his exclusive contract with Pledis Entertainment in 2022 and has been active as a solo artist since. He recently shared through a channel that he had started an internship at a cosmetics company. Some viewers assumed it was staged for content. His message on the fan platform was a direct answer to that: the corporate life is real.
