"Come See for Yourself": PSY Fires Back at a Hater
Korean singer PSY is pushing back at online critics of his signature summer concert series. On July 30, he posted a behind-the-scenes video from rehearsals for "PSY Summer Swag 2026" on his social media.
One user left a comment under the post, complaining that the shows always feature the same songs and that half the lyrics are just the word "jump." The comment, laced with profanity, questioned why anyone would bother attending.
PSY pinned the comment to the top of the thread and replied directly: "Come see for yourself."
"PSY Summer Swag 2026" is currently in progress. This year's tour opened on June 27 at Uijeongbu Sports Complex and will run 14 shows across nine cities nationwide.
Launched in 2011, "Summer Swag," originally known in Korean as "Heumppeok Show" or "the drenching show," has grown into PSY's signature summer brand. The concerts combine massive water cannons soaking the crowd with his biggest hits, high-energy performances, and guest appearances from other artists.
The series has also drawn criticism nearly every year. Some point to concerns over water waste and damage to stadium grass. Others argue the setlist and staging feel repetitive from year to year. At the same time, many fans see the sing-along atmosphere and the shared experience of getting drenched as the whole point of the show. Both takes have coexisted around the tour for years.
