Young K Showcases Songwriting Range on 'YOUNGEST' as Album Tops Weekly Chart

DAY6's Young K is reinforcing his reputation as a solo singer-songwriter with his second full-length album, "YOUNGEST," a 15-track release that highlights both his musical versatility and personal growth.

Released on July 27, the album is Young K's first solo full-length project in nearly three years since "Letters with notes." It debuted at No. 1 on Hanteo Chart's weekly album ranking, reflecting strong fan support.

In a behind-the-scenes video, Young K shared that the album began with questions about his own identity. He said he wanted to capture both the honest perspective of Kang Young-hyun and the artistic vision of Young K through music that feels true to who he is today.

Running about 44 minutes, "YOUNGEST" blends rock, pop, ballad, house, country and jazz while maintaining a cohesive flow. The genre-spanning album highlights the songwriting versatility that has defined Young K's career.

Young K will take the album on the road later this month with his sold-out "YOUNGEST" solo tour, kicking off Aug. 14-16 in Incheon before continuing across Asia.
