ZEROBASEONE Marks Third Debut Anniversary With Countryside Getaway Content
K-pop boy group ZEROBASEONE traded city life for a countryside retreat to mark its third debut anniversary. The trip anchors the latest installment of the group's self-produced content series.
ZEROBASEONE, made up of Sung Han-bin, Kim Ji-woong, Seok Matthew, Kim Tae-rae, and Park Gun-wook, released the countryside vacation episodes of "ZBTVing" through its official YouTube channel on July 29 and August 5.
The members spent their summer break at a grandmother's house away from the city. They played in a valley stream, swapped childhood memories, and wore matching group T-shirts labeled from oldest to youngest, leaning into a five-brother dynamic.
They also handled the trip themselves, shopping for groceries and building a fire to cook samgyeopsal and jjapaguri, a mash-up of two instant noodle brands that became a global talking point after the film "Parasite." After the meal, the members wrote picture diaries and talked about the traits they share, using the downtime to strengthen team chemistry. They also ran through games like guess-the-person and Korean initial-consonant quizzes. Kim Tae-rae and Sung Han-bin picked up an acoustic guitar left at the house for an impromptu duet.
Ahead of the trip, leader Sung Han-bin drew attention by donating 100 million won to Good Neighbors, a global NGO focused on children's rights, to mark the group's third debut anniversary.
ZEROBASEONE will release its second Japanese EP, "Kaiki LOVE," on the 19th. The group plans to continue meeting fans through "ZBTVing" and promotions for the new album.
