Even in the summer heat, ENHYPEN fans showed no signs of cooling off. Hours before the group's Busan concert began, the area around the venue was already packed with early arrivals. Fans traded gifts, lined up at the ENGENE Zone, and soaked up the pre-show atmosphere long before the doors opened.

On Aug. 9, the streets around Sajik Indoor Gymnasium in Busan's Dongnae district baked under high heat and heavy humidity. The show was set for 5 p.m., but fans arrived hours earlier. They cooled off with handheld fans, cooling patches, and paper fans printed with ENHYPEN members' names and photos. The group's agency handed out bottles of ice water, and fans took only one bottle each so that as many people as possible could get one.

There was a reason fans came so early despite the heat. Many lined up for giveaways at the ENGENE Zone or exchanged gifts they had prepared for one another. The pre-show activities and the chance to connect with other fans have become part of the concert experience itself.

Strangers struck up conversations across the venue. One fan gave detailed directions to someone looking for the ENGENE Zone. Another warned a fan that a booth was about to close and urged them to hurry. They didn't know each other's names, but liking ENHYPEN was enough to break the ice.

Some fans had come back a second day in a row. Choi, 24, traveled about an hour and a half from Gimhae in South Gyeongsang Province. "Today I came just to enjoy the atmosphere around the venue," she said. "I got a lot of freebies too." She wasn't attending the show that day, but she wanted to be near it anyway.

Choi said the "Mo Animyeon Do" stage from the previous day's show stuck with her most. "The fan chant is fun. I had been looking forward to it before the concert, so I practiced to really enjoy it," she said. She had joined nearby fans in the chant, riding the moment with the group.

Other fans followed the tour from city to city. Kim, 20, traveled from Guri in Gyeonggi Province and rode the SRT high-speed train to Busan the day before with her older sister. On the first day of the Busan trip, the sisters went sightseeing. On day two, Kim was heading into the show.

She was especially waiting for the new song on the setlist. ENHYPEN is set to release its eighth mini-album, "THE SIN : BLISS," on the 21st. Ahead of that, the group unveiled the performance of title track "Bloody Paradise" for the first time at the Busan concert.

Fan-shot clips from the previous night's debut had already spread online, meaning even fans who weren't in Busan could preview the stage. But Kim said she avoided them on purpose. "I wanted to see and hear it myself," she said.

For these fans, waiting is part of the concert. They show up early, hand out gifts, talk to strangers, and rehearse the chants they'll deliver later. Once the lights drop, those voices carry the show alongside the group on stage. It's the pull of seeing, hearing, and breathing the same air as the artist that keeps bringing fans to the venue in person.
