K-POP group Stray Kids have crossed 3 million in first-week album sales again. With strong early numbers in the U.S. market as well, the group is now in position to notch a ninth straight No. 1 debut on the Billboard 200.

According to Hanteo Chart on Thursday, Stray Kids' 10th mini album "THIS & THAT," released on the 7th, sold about 3.28 million copies during its first-week tracking period.

That is roughly 8 percent higher than the first-week total of their fourth studio album "KARMA," released in August last year, which moved 3,036,360 copies. The eight-track mini album pulled in bigger opening sales than the 11-track full studio release that came before it.

The momentum at home appears to be carrying into the United States. U.S. music trade HITS Daily Double projects that "THIS & THAT" will debut at No. 1 in the U.S. with about 335,000 album-equivalent units in its first week. Pure album sales, combining physical copies and downloads, are forecast at around 325,000.

If the projection holds, it would mark a new personal best for the group's opening week in the U.S. "KARMA" logged 313,000 units when it debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200. Including the special album "DO IT," Stray Kids have sent their last eight charting releases straight to the top of the Billboard 200 in a row. A No. 1 debut for the new EP would push that streak to nine.
