BLACKPINK's Lisa has apologized to fans after backlash over how the group's 10th anniversary was handled. The rapper posted a long message to BLINKs, the group's fandom, through a fan communication platform on the 14th.

"Hi BLINKs. I hope everyone is having a good summer despite the heat," Lisa wrote. "First, our 10th anniversary was already almost a week ago. As everyone knows, a lot has been going around online."

"I'm so sad about the situation, and I'm truly sorry things went this way," she continued. "I can't even imagine how upset you must have been. Because I felt the same."

Lisa added that she was not writing the message to defend herself. "I'm not writing this to justify anything or to argue my position. I just want to cherish the love and connection we've shared together," she said. "I'm truly grateful that we've been able to be together."

BLACKPINK marked its 10th debut anniversary on the 8th with a fan meeting at the National Museum of Korea in Seoul's Yongsan district. The event drew criticism on two fronts. The group announced it just two days before it took place, and only 40 fans were able to attend.
