BIGBANG Makes "BiiiG" Return With No. 1 Across Korean Music Charts

BIGBANG has returned to the top of South Korea’s music charts with its 20th anniversary single "BiiiG."

Released on August 19 at 6 p.m. KST, "BiiiG." quickly rose to No. 1 across major domestic music platforms including Melon, Genie, Bugs and VIBE. According to YG Entertainment, the track remained at the top of the charts as of 8 a.m. KST on August 20.

The release marks BIGBANG’s first new music in approximately four years and four months and arrives as the group celebrates 20 years since its debut.

On Melon, "BiiiG." entered the TOP100 chart directly at No. 1 just one hour after release. The song also reportedly recorded the highest number of first-hour unique listeners among songs released in 2026 and achieved nine "roof hits," a term used when a song reaches the maximum real-time chart share.

The track combines BIGBANG’s established musical identity with a fresh sound, bringing together the members’ distinctive rap and vocals alongside lyrics filled with confidence and playful wordplay.

"BiiiG." also arrived alongside a celebratory music video filled with references to the group’s career. Visuals include BIGBANG’s signature light stick, a truck flying through space and a set inspired by the group’s 2008 hit "Sunset Glow."

The colorful video also offers glimpses of the song’s performance and climbed to No. 1 on YouTube’s worldwide trending and trending music rankings following its release.

The comeback arrives immediately before another major milestone for the group. Starting Aug. 21, BIGBANG will kick off its 20th anniversary world tour, "BIGBANG 2026-2027 WORLD TOUR <XX : COSMOS>," with three concerts in Goyang.

The tour will span 33 shows across 19 cities throughout North America, Europe, Oceania and Asia as BIGBANG continues its 20th anniversary celebrations.
