KATSEYE's popularity continues to surge as the group climbs to the top of the K-POPIT Board’s Global Rise Chart amid promotions for their recently released third EP, "WILD."

According to K-POPIT BOARD, the K-POP analytics index, KATSEYE ranked No. 1 on the Global Rise Chart on August 20 with a Power Index (PWR_GL) score of 69. The Power Index combines data from music charts, social media activity and news coverage to measure an artist's overall momentum.

The ranking arrives amid a particularly strong period for KATSEYE. Released on August 14, "WILD" saw all five of its tracks enter Spotify's U.S. and global daily charts on its first day. Furthermore, their title track "Hootie Frutti" debuted at No. 6 on Spotify's Daily Top Songs USA and No. 12 globally, while pre-release single "Animal" climbed to No. 5 globally.

KATSEYE's growing momentum has also translated into awards recognition as on August 18, "PINKY UP" received two nominations at the 2026 MTV Video Music Awards, earning nods for Best Choreography and Best K-POP. The nominations give KATSEYE the opportunity to win at the VMAs for a second consecutive year after "Touch" earned the group its first trophy for PUSH Performance of the Year in 2025.

However, the group's growing commercial success comes at a complicated point in its career as KATSEYE prepares to begin its first headline arena tour with uncertainty surrounding several members.

Manon has remained on an extended hiatus since February to focus on her health and well-being, while leader Sophia temporarily stepped away from promotional activities earlier this month following consultations with medical professionals. Her condition is expected to be reassessed in September.

Moreover, Megan has also recently been absent from some promotional activities due to health-related circumstances, raising further concern among fans over how many members will be able to participate when the group heads on tour. Unlike Manon and Sophia, however, no official extended hiatus for Megan has been announced as of August 20.

The timing is particularly notable as KATSEYE's "THE WILDWORLD TOUR" is scheduled to begin in less than two weeks. The arena tour kicks off at Dublin's 3Arena on September 1 before heading to London, Manchester, Paris, and various other European Cities. The North American leg begins in Miami on October 13 and continues through cities including New York, Boston, Chicago, Los Angeles and more before concluding in Mexico City on November 27.

The remaining members have continued an intensive promotional schedule surrounding "WILD." Daniela, Lara, Megan and Yoonchae appeared on NBC's "TODAY" Citi Concert Series on August 14, where they performed and publicly voiced their support for Sophia and Manon during their respective breaks. They have also appeared on "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," performing "Animal."

Despite the reduced lineup, KATSEYE's current numbers suggest the group's public momentum has yet to slow. Alongside their latest chart achievements, "Hootie Frutti" surpassed 10 million YouTube views within 36 hours of release, while "WILD" placed all five of its tracks on Spotify's U.S. chart on release day.

With the group now sitting atop the K-POPIT Global Rise Chart, its latest era is shaping up to be one of its strongest yet. At the same time, with "THE WILDWORLD TOUR" beginning September 1 and the participation of several members uncertain, the coming weeks will place just as much attention on KATSEYE’s ability to navigate its demanding schedule as on the success surrounding "WILD."
