BLACKPINK's Lisa Posts First Update Since Apologizing to Fans
BLACKPINK member Lisa is back on social media after a public apology to fans. On August 20, she posted several photos to Instagram with the short caption "hELLo uTaH 🙏🏻."
The images show Lisa relaxing abroad, smiling in beachwear including a bikini. It is her first personal update since she addressed fans days earlier about a controversy tied to the group's anniversary celebration.
On August 8, BLACKPINK marked its 10th debut anniversary with a fan meeting at the National Museum of Korea in Seoul's Yongsan district. The event drew criticism almost immediately. The group announced it just two days in advance, and attendance was capped at only 40 fans.
Jisoo apologized first, addressing fans through a livestream on the day of the event. Rosé followed with a message on a fan communication platform. Six days after the event, Lisa added her own apology.
"I'm really sorry about how the situation played out," she wrote. "I can't even imagine how upset you must have been, because I felt the same way."
The Utah post marks a shift back to lighter content after a week of public regret from three of the group's four members.
