ENHYPEN Takes Vampire Romance to a "Bloody Paradise" With New EP
ENHYPEN returns with a romance built on contradictions as the group releases its eighth mini album "THE SIN : BLISS" on August 21.
The new project marks the second installment of ENHYPEN's "THE SIN" series, which centers its narrative around the motif of sin. This time, the story follows two lovers who break a taboo and choose to escape together, eventually realizing that despite the threats and conflicts surrounding them, simply being together is itself a "bliss."
At the center of the project is title track "Bloody Paradise," which leans into being a Brazilian funk dance track. The song depicts lovers who find their own form of paradise within an otherwise desperate situation, focusing solely on one another despite the danger surrounding them.
Global producer JULiA LEWiS participated in the track, while Dynamic Duo's Gaeko contributed to the lyrics, helping shape its sensual yet romantic tone.
Moreover, the accompanying performance further draws on ENHYPEN's long-running vampire identity as dynamic, controlled movements portray a vampire's unwavering devotion toward a lover.
Fans received an early look at the performance during ENHYPEN's "BLOOD SAGA" world tour concerts in Busan on August 8 and 9, where "Bloody Paradise" was performed ahead of its official release.Beyond its title track, "THE SIN : BLISS" is structured as a concept album in which its songs, lyrics and sounds connect to form a continuous narrative.
Across six songs, the lovers move through different stages of their escape. Their blindness in love unfolds through "Two Fools," while "Stuck" and "Bad For You" see the pair repeatedly reaffirm their dependence on one another. "Bloody Paradise" captures the unexpected liberation found within their dangerous situation before "Checkmate" strengthens their bond and "Highlight" looks back on the journey they have taken.
Four narration tracks further connect the story, bringing "THE SIN : BLISS" to a total of 10 tracks. The narrations were produced in Korean, English, Japanese and Chinese, expanding the album's storytelling across multiple languages.
Actors and artists Park Jeong-min, Kenjiro Tsuda and Lars Huang return following their participation in the previous project, once again lending their voices to ENHYPEN's expanding narrative universe.
ENHYPEN will begin comeback promotions on KBS2's "Music Bank" on August 21, followed by MBC's "Show! Music Core" on August 22 and SBS' "Inkigayo" on August 23.
